Events & Projects

The Life-Changing Center DR is a non-profit corporation that will own and operate the LCC. The center will be built in phases and will become self-sustaining. Our mission is to bring the lost to salvation through Jesus Christ and to give God’s people a new start in life. Those who are not skilled will be trained in different job positions and eventually work their way out of the program and find their purpose in the surrounding community.

Phase I

The site for the campus is already purchased and waiting for funds. The complex will hold a storefront restaurant, commercial rental spaces, sanctuary, classrooms, and living quarters for the missionaries. This building will also be equipped with secure hotel rooms and missionary apartments.

Phase II

We aim to fully build and equip a retail/restaurant space or café with a full kitchen. This restaurant or café would generate revenues to sustain the provision costs of the LCC and offer skills training to the employees who are residents of the center. Skilled managers would be the overseers of the workers and the teachers to those needing restaurant and hotel skills to maintain paying jobs once they graduate from the center.

In addition, we wish to bring in volunteer chefs to teach the workers new skills in the kitchen. The kitchen would also serve to feed the homeless in the community. LCC would want to reach out to the business community and sell the cuisine produced by the center.

Phase III

  • Teach cleaning service and maid skills as a paying job (laundry and homecare).

  • Create a hall (sanctuary) and classroom areas for residence training and schooling.

  • Build a childcare center in the LCC for those who have young children.

  • Open the child care center to the public to generate income for LCC.

  • Assign tasks to local community members in the center so they can develop skills needed to sustain good jobs once graduated.

  • Teach marriage and parenting skills to the residents to rebuild their family foundation so their children can have a great start in life.

Costs

The total project cost of LCCDR would be approximately $400,000 to $500,000. However, the cost of phases is still pending from the engineer in DR.
